I think they are great.

On a side note, if you go over to the DVD Clubs forum and read up on the Columbia House DVD Club, you can get the individual releases as enrollment titles (ie, cheap) and after one membership cycle end up paying an average of about $5 each for all 9 of them. That's how I got mine.

Starting in the same boat as you, my personal choice was to buy the three individual titles due to better packaging and saving a few bucks. I didn't see any advantage to the box set. I would definitely upgrade Fistful of Dollars.
Better Packaging...does this mean that they are all packed like GBU SE? That would be sweet. Lobby cards included would rock as well.

Now that they have their new website, does anyone know how long it take before your order ships?

Do you still get email confirmation?

I placed an order on Sunday that now has several items listed as shipped but I haven't received any email confirmation yet.

Can someone help me out with the difference between these two Matrix DVDs they list:

http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...ductId=5786630

and

http://www.deepdiscount.com/viewprod...uctId=13547076

One is a bit cheaper. Is there any difference to your knowledge?

Thanks!

From the Amazon listings, the cheaper one was released recently and I think the only difference is that it is an Amary, while the more expensive one is the originally issued snapper. But I'm not 100% on that being the only difference.

I was thinking that the only difference was a new case. It probably is. Thanks for the help.

From what I've heard they are not the same as the first GBU, but are keep cases with slip covers. They also don't have the overlapping discs and an accordion foldout system that the Anthology does have. They come with their own individual booklets, and by keeping my original GBU CE I keep the lobby cards. The other three new CEs do not have lobby cards.

first order (placed Thursday night) arrived today. One disc is a floater rattling around in its case, otherwise all the other discs and sets are in good shape.
Just got an e-mail that my second order (placed late Saturday) shipped today.

Didn't mean to go Superman crazy but after the problems with the WB store, I didn't fell like arguing and just paid a buck or two more to get it thru DDD. As you can see, my kid is really into the super-hero cartoons right now (especially Krypto). Luckily I enjoy watching them as well.

Great price on the ELO cds! All of the remastered releases are available thru the "Mega Sale" prices and are the best prices I have seen on these.

I placed two orders on Friday, June 1st. The second one I placed arrived with today's mail. That's the fastest shipping I've ever seen from DDD. My first order shipped yesterday, I think, I know I saw an email.

You just reminded me how much my little nephew likes Batman right now so I figured I'd give Batman the Animated Series: Vol. 1 a try for $24.38. If he enjoys I'll go back for the other volumes.
