Cronenberg Collection - Double Horror (R2) (Prism) Question
does anyone own this? i was curious about the picture/sound quality. is there any "ghosting" or "combing" present with the image? i hate buying a PAL release that was transfered poorly from a NTSC master to find that the image is sludgy.

I was tempted to buy these at one point for the anamorphic transfers, but decided against it after looking at screenshot comparisons between them and the R1 non-anamorphic ones. It seems as if that page has been taken down, so I can't show you, but they pointed out heavy cropping on the R2s and horrible lack of sharpness. After doing a review search though, different reviewers say different things. Some say transfers are adequate/best it will ever look, others talk about cropping helping out, while some talk about nearly unwatchable portions scattered throughout.
Do a search on www.dvdcompare.net and http://www.dvd-basen.dk/uk/home.php3
*EDIT*
Acutually, I found this on the difference between the Prism and Metropolitan (French) discs of Shivers. Looks like the Prism has lots of problems.
