The Polyphonic Spree - What do you think of the new music video?
They have a new CD coming out on June 19, 2007 -The Fragile Army, and they have a song on it called Running Away. A friend of mine just sent me a link to the music video, and I think it's pretty cool. Here you go:

Not bad, cool idea
This is one of the craziest bands i've ever seen. I know its an over used quote but the band really is like "Jesus Christ Superstar on acid"

The Fragile Army is easily my most anticipated American CD release of the year.
Together We're Heavy was a huge improvement over The Beginning Stages Of. From the mash-up mp3 released a few weeks ago and the new single, I sense the same thing will happen again.

Is this directed by Michel Gondry?
If it's not, I question whether it was actually individual still photographs, or if they just "faked it" using video.
Either way, cool video though. I am also looking forward to this release.

The Polyphonic Spree are back. 'Running Away' is the first official video-less video from the forthcoming album 'The Fragile Army.' The video was directed by first-timer Hal Samples and features over 70,000 still photographs from a ten day tour. Polyphonic founder Julie Doyle told Spinner, "It was really a process of trial and error. We loved the concept from the start, and in the end we think we have an interesting video that we're proud of. "

The new album is *great*, easily on par with Together We're Heavy
I was lucky enough to see them last month in 'The Grand Ballroom' in NYC and it was one of the better shows I've ever been to. I'll be seeing them twice more (6/29 in Philadelphia and 7/1 in Brooklyn).

I'll second the new album as fantastic. Consdering going to the Brooklyn show, but $40 with taxes/fees is at the higher end of what I'll spend on a concert (although they do have 20-odd mouths to feed in that army).

They're like the Brady Bunch meets the Manson family. Love their music.
