Creature Comforts (Aardman) CBS 06/04 8pm Eastern

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/creature_comforts/

Series Premiere:
Monday, June 4, 8pm et/pt

Academy Award-winning Aardman Animations are bringing their UK hit CREATURE COMFORTS to the United States. In this new half-hour stop-motion animated series, excerpts are culled from real-person interviews and placed in the mouths of a wide variety of animated animals to produce humorous, charming and insightful commentaries on everyday life.

I love the UK version of the show, and have watched them many times on DVD. Every time the dog and cat chilling on the couch come on, I'm almost in tears from their banter.

I hope the US version is just as funny. So far, I've enjoyed everything Aardman has done, and I imagine I'll love this show just as much.

I've never seen the BBC tv series, but I have the original short film on DVD.

Looking forward to this! I noticed that BBC America is going to start airing the UK version next week as well.

Just watched it and we all enjoyed it very much. Perhaps not as much as the British version, but pretty darn close. Very much looking forward to the next one!

Didn't know there was a British version, and barely caught a promo for this due to low TV viewing - but just watched it and liked it! Setting DVR to grab any more of it.

Loved it. With only three posts here it will probably be cancelled within two weeks in favor of some reality show.

Also enjoyed it. I was completely surprised it was in HD though and it looked incredible.

Set the season pass for the BBC original as well.

Turned it on 1/2 way thru. Both my wife and I were laughing for the rest of it and wishing we'd seen the beginning.

recorded 90% of it and set the rest of the season for record - that way I can at least have the original 8 they'll run before they cancel it for another lame game show

/too funny for American TV - they'll kill it

//can't believe how many jokes they crammed into that 1/2 hour -- the thermometer joke killed!!

Loved it - only heard about it the day it went to air and I love Wallace & Gromit (I've seen clips of the early Creature Comforts short film). Glad I got to see it.

Variety's review was brutal. Said American interest in the show should peak somewhere around the first commercial break.

I love the UK version, always wanted to see a US version, but didn't think that this one lived up to the original. Still, I will watch it.

A "Wife Swap" rerun, 4.5/8, won the 8 p.m. hour for ABC over FOX's "House" repeat, 4.3/7. CBS was close behind with the premiere of the animated "Creature Comforts," 4.2/8
It came in third, but it's close. I would hope the numbers are strong enough to keep it going.

I love Aardman. I will finally rent the UK version soon, and then I'll start watching this. I hope it stays around.

I watched a bit of it and while I enjoyed it, i admit that i felt it started to get repititious after a bit. Will probably tune in again next week though.

Looks like Creature Comforts is done. Very disappointing. I thought the last episode was the funniest one yet.

http://www.creaturecomforts.tv/ is asking people to send CBS an e-mail at http://www.cbs.com/info/user_service...bal_form.shtml

The good news is a DVD is scheduled for October.

This was the only primetime show I was watching on CBS. Maybe they could burn off the remaining episodes in latenight - put them up against SNL or play them one night instead of Letterman reruns... Not likely.

A 30 minute informercial for Time Life is better than showing one of the remaining episodes? Grrrr...

Aww, this is disappointing news. I've been really enjoying this, and as someone else said, it looked GREAT in HD. I'll definitely pick up the DVDs when they are released.

Sad to see there isn't much interest in this show. I thought it was really funny.

Due to scheduling conflicts with me, work and sleep, I missed the episodes. At least there is a dvd coming out.

I wonder if most people understand the premise of the show. The first time I saw it, many moons ago, I didn't think it was very funny. When I revisited the series a year ago, I was laughing continually.

I'd love to own the series in HiDef - yet at this point I think it'll be only released on standard DVD

I got the three episodes that aired saved on the tivo (they were great, and I liked them better than the British episodes). My tivo recorded a fourth episode this last Monday, and even though it identified it as Creature Comforts it was actually a show with Elaine from Seinfeld. So how many episodes did they make/will be on the dvd?

ah nuts. I liked this show a lot, and like others have said, it looked pretty damn stunning in HD.
