Looking for Laptop HOT DEAL suggestions please

Hi All,

I am in the market for a laptop - haven't been too close to the hot deals lately and don't have access to a sunday circular so i thought i'd ask here. Below are my constraints:

1) Total price no more than $850
2) Reputable brand, Sony and HP preferred (No Dell's please)
3) < 80gb HD
4) Intel Core / Core Duo chip
5) Widescreen
6) Lightweight (doesn't have to be ultra slim due to price point)
7) ~1gb RAM
8) Built in SD reader (nice to have)
9) Looks good

Thank you in advance!

I picked up a screaming deal on an HP/Compaq business model (nc6320) on HP's small biz website. It was a "refurb" -- brand new, part of a large order that was returned unopened. Looks/feels a lot like the old Thinkpad series (T42 etc), with metal interior frame. T5600 core2duo, 15" sxga+ screen (not widescreen, but why is that necessary? I basically have an extra 150 rows of pixels compared to a wga+ at 1400x1050). Thin and pretty light, killer performance (DVD burner, 7-way mem card reader, fingerprint reader, etc.) for only $699 plus tax. I splurged for a 3-year warranty with dock, keyboard/mouse and case for $100, and upgraded from 512MB to 2GB RAM for an extra $80. Best deal I've seen in a while. And it doesn't have that loathsome shiny reflective screen.

Check out the HP refurb site, and look for a model with a large number in stock.
