The War At Home Season 1

Beautiful looking picture for the show presented on FOX in HD for an SD DVD release, but why in the world are the cutscenes with the white background not anamorphically enhanced like the rest of the episodes? Where's the flub here?

Who knows, I bought the dvd as well, but its a shame this show was
canceled. I still hope Warner Bros. releases season 2.

Damn! i didn't know it was canceled, but as always, you can blame Fox for moving it around. The show was pretty decent and Kaylee DeFer is incredibly hot.

Kaylee DeFer is hot indeed, and I sure didn't ever mind looking at the wife's ample cleavage either.

I only watched the first few episodes of the show, but I remember the cut scenes being like that originally (they eventually did change it though). It was done that way because they wanted the letterbox look for those, but yet they couldnt figure out how to do that without pillarboxing the letterbox on the 16:9 broadcast (even though anyone with a basic knowledge of aspect ratios could have told them how).

Ashame they couldnt fix it for the DVDs...just shows how little effort they put into it.

Yeah the cut scenes change to being anamorphic pretty quickly. Great show, especially if you like shows like Titus, Grounded For Life, and Married with Children. I was very sad to hear it got cancelled.

I didn't know this was canceled either. It was a pretty good show. Not great, but I liked to watch...when I could find it was actually on.

That sucks that this show was cancelled. I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to picking up the DVD set.
