Sorry for the repeat posting -- I knew there was a borders coupon thread but didn't think to check it since there was no coupon needed for this sale.

Hmmm, Fangsfirst said in the other thread that this promotion was going to run for another 4 to 5 weeks.
I really hope it doesn't end on the 22nd, as that would screw up my plans for picking up next weeks releases there.

Through next Tuesday?
No way on earth.
I'll confirm 100% when I get back from lunch break this evening.

But knowing how our merchandising works, and how many signs they've sent and had us put up, and that it's on the window signs etc, there's no way this is one week. these b3g4 deals never are (OCCASIONALLY the very specific ones, like the Tokyopop manga one, but even then it's extremely rare for them to be less than a month.

Maybe they've revisited the system so that's it's "now even simpler." I mean really... 30+ days is just far too many. Plus, people might actually find some benefit in it and use it for more than one transaction over a period of a couple weeks.

All snarkiness aside, I'm going to have to check this out because I've still got my Holiday Savings Rewards to spend. It's too bad the % off of entire purchases opportunities seem much less frequent these days, or I'd try to wait for one of those as well.

Yes.
I used it earlier this year when it was CDs only.

So, for music at least, you can definitely get some fairly massive savings on the more unusual titles that are rarely on sale otherwise anywhere (and as far as B&M, often not even present in other stores).

Averages out to around $8.25 a disc (unless of course you have, say, the $10 off $50 coupon, then of course it's even lower)

This is exactly the kind of sale I had in mind when I posted a question a while ago about whether anyone knew of a search tool for finding the *least* discounted DVDs. DVDPricesearch has an "at least x% off" search, but I would love to browse a list of DVDs that never reach 25% off MSRP (for example) - a b3g1 sale would make these a good deal. Didn't seem to be much interest though.

Yeah, I work in IPT at Borders as well and I am about 98% sure that this sale is supposed to go through the end of May.

June 18th to be exact, double checked as I said, and indeed it is greater than a month. (best to be a seller or work merch to check dates--but IPT can as well!)

PS: IPT is where I started. And where my ex works now in another store. Good place to start from.

Buy 3/get 4 offer still good in some areas. I got aRewards email yesterday with the following:
"Least expensive item is free. Box sets count as a single item. Valid in U.S. Borders stores except stores in the Denver and Colorado Springs, CO; Orlando, FL; Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN; and San Diego, CA areas. Not valid in Borders Express or Waldenbooks stores. Selection may vary by store; sorry, no rain checks or reserves."
