The Hills have eyes 2--->July.17th, 2007
The Hills have eyes 2 will be released on July.17th, 2007 by FOX home entertainment with 2 opinions: Rated or Unrated editions.
Available in separate Rated and Unrated editions (both 89mins and $29.98 SRP) the former is almost barebones, presenting the film in both Widescreen and Full Screen on a flipper disc with English DD5.1 Surround, French and Spanish Dolby Surround plus English and Spanish subtitles. The only extras are a making-of featurette and trailers.
The Unrated is the must by vr, which will include way more features.
Can't wait to pick this up for a crappy horror flick cheap thrill.

I've heard absolutely horrible things about this flick from just about everywhere. I'll still get it on DVD so I could check it out and fulfill my completist needs, but I'm not anticipating having a blast with this one. They really should just offer the unrated and not risk wasting money on a lesser version that certainly won't sell as well.

Horror films are just about the only properties that I do not feel the completist urge to get every film in the series, just because any good horror film automatically gets one if not multiple inferior sequels. The Hills Have Eyes remake was good, and I think I'll stop there.

Hopefully the few seconds of gore will be worth it. It was a bloody mess in the R version already. Hope they make one more just so we can have more mutants and carnage.

I probably won't pick this up, but will give it a rent. I didn't really care for this when I watched it in the theater, but maybe I'll enjoy it more at home.

Out in stores now. Anyone seen it? Does it come with a slipcover?
Tend to like these kinds of movies, but can't see paying $17 for what nearly everyone agrees is crap. Maybe sometime within the next twelve months, when it will likely be in a "2 for $20" sale.

It has a slipcover. I picked it up yesterday. Too bad it didnt have the blood cover like the first. It has some okay extras but nothing to write home about.
