Anyone? I just heard them for the 1st time tonight and really liked them.
The lead singer Beth Ditto has this powerhouse voice that's just amazing. The rest of the band consists of Brace Paine on Guitar and Drummer Hannah Blilie who can lay down some decent sounds.

I just heard them for the first time a few weeks ago and loved what I heard. I agree: Beth Ditto is definitely a force to be reckoned with! Great voice.

And Beth is quite a character.
LiquidSky, Have you heard their stuff before that cd? It seems to me they polished their sound on this latest CD. Their previous stuff seemed more "punkabilly"/raw/White Stripe-ish. I like both sounds but the sound seems to have changed.

The Gossip is a really good band. Their early stuff is definitely more raw but I definitely dig Standing in the Way of Control. Their live show is really intense and Beth can work a crowd as good as anyone. I first saw them years ago when their first EP came out while they were opening for Sleater Kinney. I've been a fan ever since.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I like both sounds. It's just that the first songs i heard from them were from the older cd's that I heard on Amazon.com. For some reason their last cd doesn't have samples on Amazon so I went into their back catalog and was blown away. Then I went to their site and heard the new stuff and it seemed different. It grew on me pretty fast but it took a minute.

I saw the Gossip live in Hollywood a few weeks ago. Man what a show they are amazing live. Beth has so much energy on stage and I'm just in love with Hannah's drumming.
Here are some MP3's from their record label:
"Standing in the Way of Control"[MP3] [Video]
"Listen Up!" [mp3]
I can't wait to hear what they create next.

Where did find that? I have a couple tracks off it, but I want the whole CD.
