The Batman Part II of Invasion (5/5/07)

Hoooly Shit!!!! The ending kicked all kinds of ass!!!

I know the haters will chime in with their "Dini Fanboy" shit(1st hint) and I don't totally blame them. But still, that ending was cool and I hope we see more based on it.

Spoiler:
Martian Manhunter takes Batman up to the Justice League Tower to ask him to join up!!! The Flash, Green Lantern(HAL JORDAN no less!!!), Hawkman, and Green Arrow step out of the elevator and Batman tells them he's been monitoring the Tower's Construction the whole time and the clicks a button on his belt and like the badass he is he takes over their computers. He then tells them that he knew about the League the whole time. He also says YES to joining up!!!

...once again, Batman proves he's always 2 steps ahead of the rest.

I was just coming here to post a thread. Holy shit! That had to be one of the most badass endings ever!

Sucks that they may take away focus from The Batman, but it kicks royal ass that other DC heroes will now show up.

I'm not starting a new thread, but I've gotta say the ending of Legion of Superheroes was a huge shocker too. Is that one coming back?

Ok, they did pick it up for next year. It'll be interesting to see where they pick up after this ending.

Yeah I didn't get the end of Legion. I was like, "Why did he do that?"

I have to admit that up til recently, I was one of those "Dini Fanboys" who couldn't stand "The Batman". But I've given it a chance recently, liked what I saw. And the ending to today's episode was indeed very good.

Here's what I read on another site, so read at your own risk.

Spoiler:
Supposedly, there's going to be some super villain that threatens the future timeline in an ongoing story arc. My guess is, they come back, yet again, to get Supes to help them fight.

So does this show become The Batman and the Justice League next season, or what?

Nice reference to classic Superfriends there at the end.

Good question. I was thinking that the show would still focus on Batman but we would get 1 or 2 JL/Batman eps next season.

I saw the episode and have completely mix feelings about this. The ending was nice touch but are we now going to get a watered down version of the Justice League? And was the purpose of the whole new The Batman to end up as a JL cartoon? If so, then why couldn't they keep the JLU cartoon going on instead of giving us the Jackie Chan animated version?

I'm still bitter of the direction WB and DC has taken with their animated shows and DTV films. They had something great going on with the Dini series and then they cancelled it. Then, they want to revive the same ideas and storylines with the inferior The Batman series and the DTV movies that have different, stunt casting, actors. Why couldn't DC and WB mantain all these ideas in one continuity?
