THE MUPPET SHOW SEASON 2 -----> 08/07/07!!!

http://tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7260

The 4-disc set will include the entire second season of the show (612 mins), and retails for $39.99 US, or $59.99 CAN. There will be collectible packaging, just like with season 1, and the artwork should be what we have below (though they note the packaging isn't final). You'll probably recognize the art as one of the choices fans could vote for last July. Bonus material includes:

* The Muppet Valentine Special - For the very first time, own this rare program starring Mia Farrow!
* The Muppets on the Muppets - Kermit, Gonzo, Rizzo and more sit down for these personal, revealing interviews.
* Weezer & The Muppets - More than just a music video, see this fun, somewhat new entry into The Muppet Show annals.

Consumers can save $10 instantly by purchasing Season 1 and 2 together (valid August 7-November 30, 2007). Here's a look at the Piggy packaging:

YAY! Been waiting a while for this one.

There hasn't been a mention of Muppet Morsels. This was such a great feature on the Season One set. I really hope Season Two has it as well.

That was a really fun alternative to commentary tracks, I hope we see it again with season 2.

Yeah man. I watched every episode on the set twice: once normal, and then once again with the Muppet Morsels. They were really informative and interesting. A great feature I'd love to see again.

Finally!

Also hoping that they won't edit the set too much.

Great news! Even though my son isn't old enough to appreciate these yet, I certainly consider them to be a guilty pleasure.

Nice to see they're continuing the collectible cover. I still see the fuzzy cover for S1 from time to time. I probably should snag it.

My season one didn't have the fuzzy cover so I don't know which one to get. I like the novelty of the felt covers but the images are sharper on the normal ones. Glad it's finally coming out though.

With how long it's taking to get these seasons out, it will be forever until we see Muppets Tonight, unfortunately. I love both series, it just sucks to know how far away we are from seeing the second one.

Fantastic! That is such a fun little mockumentary type thing. Will be nice to see it on a watchable format.
