Hopefully, Paramount will use the cool Borg packaging seen overseas.

The only way this would be worth upgrading is if it was in HD. I'm in no hurry to replace my set after what I remember paying for it.

To do that, they'd have to recreate all FX sequences (which were shot in SD).

I absolutely guarantee that will happen in our lifetimes... but I doubt it'll happen in the next 6 months. We have a bit of a wait.

I'll consider this for a purchase... things I'd be looking for are mainly (a) additional extras and (b) something that will take up less shelf space. If they hit either of those, I'm likely in for a purchase before year-end. Something nice, compact, and snazzy will do just fine.

Unless it's under $100 and some really super extras, there's no way I will be rebuying any Trek, since I've already got all of TNG through Voyager. Good for those who haven't gotten anything yet though!

I'm going to guess slim packs and $250.

I'd sell all those big silver boxes from TNG and upgrade with the cash.

I'd only repurchase any of the Star Trek series sets if there was massive new extras included & only at a small price. Otherwise no repurchase until HIGH DEF!

I only have a few TNG episodes as parts of various Fan Collectives, so this might be a good deal...
