Sheers for cutting hair?

I think this is what they are called. I'm talking about the electric razors barbers use when you get a haircut.
Looking to buy my own and would like to buy a good one. What is a good brand and model? Are the ones at Target or Walmart just as good for $20 bucks or so? What are good scissors for cutting hair? Where is a good place to buy them.
Hoping to get info from some people who know about all this. Thanks for any advice in advance

I bought a 20 set of clipps from target. Works fine and I've had them for years.

I use Wahl clippers to cut my husbands hair. I have had them for about 13 years and they are still going strong. I bought them at Sally beauty supply and I believe they were around $60. I would go to that store or a similar one and ask what they recommend.

I guess it depends.

I have been using the same Wahl clippers for about 2 years, and they seem to be fine. I got them at Wal-Mart (or Traget) for about $20-25.

A guy a work spent about $100 for a set from a beauty supply shop. I imagine they are mor industrial, and made to be used daily.

I use mine every couple of weeks, so I think the heavy duty ones may be a bit of overkill.

Being a balding headshaver myself I have a lot of experience with these things.

What you have to look out for are the replacement blades. The clippers themselves will last a long time, it's the blades that wear out and need replacing.

Look for a set of clippers that have the replacement blades RIGHT THERE next to them in the store, so you know they are available. I bought mine at Sally Beauty. They sell many clippers, though, where they don't offer the replacement blades as well.
