This title is now $29.99. Even Gamestop lists it at that price now.

Now why is this NOT a Wii game... this screams for Wii.

Edit: That was before reading the description. They got the name wrong... a Pinata is something that birthday children break with a stick and candy and prizes spill out, has nothing to do with growing a garden

Can you imagine how fun it would be to whack at a pinata with the Wii control?

Note: I have none of the three consoles and I own both a DS and a PSP.

Carry on But really can you imagine a REAL Viva Pinata game where you could whack a pinata?

Honestly. I can't imagine a game involving hitting a virtual pinata to be very fun at all.

Imagine that you grew up cherishing those moments where you could whack a pinata. Imagine you were told you could only eat chocolate (or do your favorite hobby) at birthday parties, and only for 20 seconds at a time two or three times. Now imagine all of a sudden you can do it whenever and however long you wanted. I would pay $20 for that

I think you mean you want a real pinata game NOT a real Viva Pinata game. Viva Pinata is all about raising cute little pinata creatures in your garden. There is also a cartoon Viva Pinata series. Viva Pinata is only very loosely based on the Spanish pinata breaking tradition. Don't confuse the two.

I agree with DodgingCars that a game based solely on busting pinatas would get old quick. Sure I love to reminisce about fun childhood events too and I loved breaking pinatas at parties, but it would not translate well to a video game. It might work as a free online flash game, since those tend to get boring quickly too.

Supposedly there is a Viva Pinata DS game in the works from Rare.

Sorry, they were all listing it at the old normal price when I posted. I guess it's a Platinum title now...

There isn't new packaging or anything. This (along with Fuzion Frenzy 2 to $29.99) is just a price drop. FF2 was selling like crap and I don't think VP was doing terribly well either.

It's a shame that VP didn't sell well; I think it's a minor masterpiece. Such a creative, original game. It's big problem was that it wasn't marketed well and also that the 360 really isn't a console that has been associated with family-friendly gaming so far.

Anyone on the fence about this, be reassured. It's well worth it.

Just sold mine on eBay for $35. Yay!

Despite selling it, it's a fantastic game.

Don't forget the GGC. Once Bestbuy adjusts their price, with GGC this can be had for $24.99.

This seems to be pretty much at all targets according the thread in CAG. It's excellent price for a great game, so if anyone still needs it they should head down to their local target.

Yep I picked up the regular edition for $19.99 yesterday, haven't had a chance to try it yet. Both editions are apparently going for $19.99 if you can find the Limited edition.

I was able to pick up the last LE on Balboa in Northridge. Guy was surprised it was that cheap.
