Question about the Tom Hanks Comedy Collection

I think I read somewhere when this set was first announced that these films were going to be remastered for this set. Does anyone know if they are? I'm mainly interested to know if "The Money Pit" is remastered or just the same as the single release.

Same question for the Steve Martin collection... if anyone knows that as well.

On the Steve Martin collection:

If you're talking about the collection containing The Jerk, Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid and The Lonely Guy, I think The Jerk is the only movie in the set that's the newer Special Edition release. The other two are the older ones.

Yup, The Jerk is the same as the new 26th Anniversary Edition, it's on it's own disc. The Lonely Guy & Dead Men don't Wear Plaid are on the same disc. All three are anamorphic.

So, it's not quite the same as the previous set. In the original set, all three movies are separately packaged in their own cases within the box, and none of them are anamorphic. If all three are anamorphic in the new set, they might all three be remastered.

BTW...big howdy-do's to Port Moody! My girlfriend lives in Coquitlam!

I know for a fact that Dragnet is a new transfer and is Anamorphic this time. The other two I haven't got around to watching.

Hasn't Dragnet always been anamorphic?

Yup, I just assumed the old ones were anamorphic. I haven't checked the disc, but the box clearly states that they are. You would think they would reissue the other two if this was the case. I will check it out when I get home to double check.
