My local PBS station has started showing the Eccelston series, and I understand that this is happening all over the country. I checked it out, even though I have the DVD. Picture quality was horrible, but at least it's out there.

Well, I put this in the other Doctor Who thread, but I'll try here as well.

Can't wait to see these. Check out the latest trailer.

I'm still waiting for Netflix to re-issue the new corrected rental copies of S2. I've only seen the first two episodes.

Note that the Netflix versions of S2 say "FOR RENTAL ONLY" on the DVDs so I think this only affects that pressing and not the retail set!

We've had a few readers write in to report a strange glitch with Doctor Who season 2, which they rented from NetFlix. At exactly the 32:40 mark of disc 1, episode 2 ("New Earth") the video switches to chainsaw-horror movie (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), which includes a very graphic scene of someone getting his legs cut off with a chainsaw.
I'm sorry, but

Thing is - it took me a minute of watching it before I realized it wasn't Doctor Who anymore! The scene jumps when they're being chased by zombified creatures in "New Earth".

I'm excited to finally get going with Season 3, and really looking forward to this first episode introducing Martha.

Last season we had those one minute clips that served as a short prequel to each episode available on the web. They kinda sucked, but are they doing it again this year?

That wasn't it, but now that you've linked, I remember what they were called: "Tardisodes"

I don't see any for 2007.

BBC's first run of season three begins this weekend. There's been no announcement of when it'll be shown on American TV.

They do hope to have a shorter lag time between season three's premiere in the UK and the SCI Fi channel.

I'm pretty sure it was announced that SciFi will get it starting some time this summer.
