Does Mark Wahlberg mumble a lot?

The reason I ask is because in more than one film I have had a tough time understanding him.

In Planet of the Apes, near the beginning, there is a line he says when he is talking to a scientist on the space ship. He says "Chromosome enhanced, gene spliced monkeys..." , and I could never understand what he was saying.

Then I saw "Shooter" recently , and enjoyed it for what it was, but there were a few instances in which I had absolutely NO idea what he was saying because he was mumbling it.

Then again, with Shooter, that happened with a few characters in the movie, not just Wahlberg. The theater I saw it in had a good sound system too, so it wasn't that.

Well, I know i'm not alone. I just googled "Mark Wahlberg mumbles" and came across a blog that stated exactly what I said:

"Wahlberg does justice with his character: Swagger is smart and observant and thinks on his feet, but Wahlberg sort of mumbles his way through some of his lines in certain scenes, making it slightly difficult to understand some of the plot points."

Sounds like he has seen Marlon Brando movies and wants to copy his style which is o.k. with me.
