General Hospital?

EDIT: The Actor (Stuart Damon) didn't die or anything, he's being written off the show.

I haven't seen an episode in eons, but my Mom used to watch it all the time when I was growing up.

A GH mainstay for over 30 years. Just got his walking papers. ABC are notorious cheapskates.

RIP

More details about the future of this character:

Spoiler:
he's dead, but coming back as a ghost... apparently the fans and fellow castmembers were not happy with his desmise so they decided to bring him back as a ghost.. I haven't heard for how long.

So just to be clear, nobody is really dead? This is about a plot thread on a soap opera?

The character is dead. The actor is alive & angry about his character being dead.

Yes, no one in real life died.. his character on the soap General Hospital died.

I remember Staurt Damon as Prince Charming in Cinderella.. Leslie Ann Warren played Cinderella.

And as we all know, once your character dies on a soap, it never returns!

So how is a character on a soap opera related to the B-movie character? Coincidental names, or supposed to be the same guy?

An aura of mystery surrounding this thread always adds a little something extra to the proceedings.

Coincidence. Allan Quatermain (only one "r", just like Quatermass) is a character from 19th Century adventure novels, and I don't believe Ayesha ever gave him immortality.

A big thumbs down for killing off a guy who played a wonderful part for the last 30 years. Port Charles won't be the same without Allan.

People forget that Stuart wasn't the first actor to play Alan...but he was certainly the best.

GH has gone downhill gradually over the past 10 years. It gets rid of it's best actors (Brad Maule, anyone?) and doesn't give any screen time to the better actors still in it's cast (John York might as well quit he's used so infrequently).

I thought things might pick up last year when they brought Tristan Rogers back (who plays the best character EVER created for Daytime TV), but they turned him into a shell of his former self with poorly written material. He's off the show again, but I think he may be due back for another stint later in 2007.

Word is that ABC is VERY unhappy with both Guza and the direction GH has been taking the characters. We might see a new head writer in the near future.

Are you not sure it isn't Rosencrantz and Gildenstern who are dead?
