As far as I know, the only difference between the regular editions and the special editions are the extra goodies that you get with the DVD boxset.
Extras:
- Naruto Uncut Boxset 1 (SE): headband and wristband.
- Naruto Uncut Boxset 2 (SE): Sand Village headband and necklace.
- Naruto Uncut Boxset 3 (SE): Won't be released until 5/29/07.
There aren't really any great prices out there right now! The cheapest prices for the regular editions are just above $32~ from DeepDiscount.com. You can always check the Weekly Specials from RightStuf.com and see if the regular editions are included (usually around $29.99). The Boxset 1 (SE) will be getting harder to find now as some sites discontinue on carrying it. Also keep in mind that there won't be another Viz studio sale from Right Stuf for a while since there was already one earlier this year. Otherwise you can go with GCO route with the participating online sites or wait for the next DeepDiscount 20% off sale sometime in the summer.

Check around some Wal-Marts I saw set 1 for $24.96 a few days ago at the Heath Ohio location. I havn't seen it at any other Wal-Marts yet though. I probably should have bought it but I was goiong to Best Buy next and hoped to find one of the mispriced $14.99 ones but the only one they had didn't have any price stickers
