The only question about this episode I have is how many times I will roll my eyes at the terrible acting from Woodside and the convoluted plotline (even by 24 standards)...

So far this season has been sub par and the only good thing is they seem to have dropped the Palmer sister storyline, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

Logan is back. That alone will make this a decent episode.

This season started out with 4 great episodes, but seems to have lost steam the last couple of weeks. Hopefully things will get back on track now that...

Spoiler:
Gregory Itzin is back!

I'm really looking forward to this episode.

There was about 15 minutes or so of Jack Bauer? The rest of the episode was a real bore including the final act.

I was thinking about "24"'s lack of oomph this season, and it's the supporting cast, they just aren't all that interesting. The bit with Chloe and Morris is getting so tired and played out. Need more Commando Chloe, or Action Chloe, or Snappish Chloe, not more of Paranoid Chloe.

Logan's got some things up his sleeve, using this opportunity to get out of his imprisonment. Far too little Jack in this episode.

Didn't think the bomb would go off, but looks like the blast got quite a bit of Palmer, but will he only be out for a bit, or is he done for? I guess we'll find out next week.

Man...come on 24! This show has really been going down the crapper lately. I was about ready to lose it with the whole stupid Morris subplot. He got a freakin' drill in the shoulder, send the guy home already! ARRRGGHHHHH!!!!!! The show is completely on the verge of self-parody.

Although, I did like the part where the old Chloe is back as she busts into the guys bathroom...

I was afraid that Chloe was going to find Morris pulling his pud in the stall, and then we'd find out that not only is Morris an alcoholic, but a sex addict as well.

Milo takes a through-and-through to the arm and is gone. Morris is beaten with baseball bats, near-drowned, and gets a drill in the shoulder, and he's prancing around like nothing's wrong. For fuck's sake, writers, at least have him wince in pain when he moves that arm.

It looks like like Jack is going to cut off the fingers of Denathore next week.

He'll have to cut off someone's manhood for this show to get back to the level of excitement we've grown accustomed to. This might be the first season of 24 that I take a pass on when it comes to dvd.

That had to be the worst hour of this season.

Pollock: "It's just starting to hit me."
That a) Wayne Palmer sucks, b) the show is no longer even trying to disguise the dialogue at its most cheesiest...

BRING ON THE VP! (How far is 24 in production? Did they just realize by the 4th or 5th hour that it was a mistake having DB Woodside as Prez?)

I did get a minor kick out of Chloe's old scrunch-face reaction to Milo (OOPs, meant Morris) not contacting his sponsor.

The show is just lacking this season. I think someone nailed it when, at the end of the day, the characters just aren't that interesting.

And the Morris/Chloe thing just seemed absurd. So a nuke went off in the city, three more are out there, there's a plot to kill the POTUS, the old POTUS is back in the picture--and we are stuck watching Chloe get pissed off because Morris MIGHT be drinking again? Seems a little low on the priority list. And because it was, it was hard for me to care.

I was hoping Nancy Cartwright was going to sound more like Bart.

It's possible. It happened in Season 4. The problem is everytime this show gets a cool character as Prez, they force them out. Palmer was only President for 2 seasons. Logan was in office for less than a season and a half.

And something tells me Powers Boothe won't be Acting Prez for too long.

Didn't think there was going to be much love for this episode.

I figure it's a bad sign when you're hoping the President's aide survives more than the President..

Yeah, yet another sub-standard episode and the Morris and Chloe storyline is really dumb...

I don't think people understand the importance of tonight's episode: Somebody was seen in a bathroom.

No one's ever been seen in a bathroom in this show.

Unlike most of the people here, I actually enjoyed the episode.

It's good that the show takes a step back every other week and focuses more on plot and character. I don't think it's possible for the 24 writers to keep making every single episode with action sequences, gun fights etc. Remember guys, this show has a budget.

It seems like when there is a 24 episode that's more dialogue and plot-driven, people here start complaining and saying how bored they are.

However, once we have Jack firing his gun, killing off bad guys in crazy gun fights and torturing people, then everyone here starts getting all gun ho, fired up and hooh rah and shit.

You should all know by now after watching the show for 6 years, that after the "Big premiere" there is going to be some really good action episodes and a few slower dialogue driven episodes every other week. The show has to balance itself out.

Also guys, look at the positives starting next week:

Noah Daniels (Powers Boothe) will be assuming Presidential duties while Wayne is incapacitated.

Anyways, looking forward to Jack cutting off the Russian's fingers next week.

I believe in December when Kiefer made a promotional apperance on The Tonight Show, he mentioned they were preparing to shoot episode 12 or 13.

I'm assuming they are pretty close to episode 20 by now.
