Neo Geo on Wii's Virtual Console?

All signs point to... maybe.

If this pans out, it would be my biggest videogame wet-dream come true.

And Master System seem to be a possibility also.

meh.
Then why have specific threads for VC or games at all - why not discuss EVERYTHING in that main thread?

I loves SNK Classis games. It's possible all Neo-Geo games on VC

They are already on GameTap so this seems very logical.

I'd guess that the only NeoGeo franchise we won't see on the VC would be Metal Slug, just because of the anthology collection.

I would be in heaven if we ever got Samurai Showdown 1 & 2.

That's not a fair comparison. There isn't a thread for Genesis on the VC, then a seperate thread on SNES on VC, and yet another on TG-16 on the VC. I just don't see the need for a separate thread for NeoGeo on the VC.

But what do I know, I just come here to read. It's all good baby.

I disagree, I think this should be a thread of its own simply because Neo Geo games are not currently available on the VC while the others are. I wouldn't have found out about it without this thread.

Thanks for the info slop101!

This is the announcement I've been waiting for second only to Castlevania: Rondo of Blood in some form on the Wii (either VC or something similar to the PSP collection). While I had tons of roms for all systems years ago, the novelty wore off and it just didn't feel authentic enough for me. I like to have a game purchased, and I like to play on a TV. I think the classic controller is a perfect fit for 90% of Neo Geo games so this will be great (much better than playing SNK fighters with the bulky Dreamcast pad!)! I can't wait for some great arcade games!!! Samurai Shodown here I come!

If they put Shock Troopers up, I'm buying it (still the only shooter of it's type that actually outdose Metal Slug in sheer chaotic entertainment). GameTap has made me a whore for that game.
