There was another one with Eric Idle (same guy from this ep) where he followed the kids around (sort of like starting a 7 Up series.) and pissed Lisa off since she had no clear goal of what she wanted.

What a stupid episode.

The movie trailer looked decent though.

What does everyone think the movie will be rated, I am hoping for a PG-13.

Wow. That sucked hard. Really hard. Worst episode in years, and that's saying a lot.

I guess I missed the single joke that apparently occupied the entire episode. I honestly can't remember a Simpsons episode before tonight where I wasn't even tempted to chuckle once.

God, you guys are harsh - it wasn't the greatest episode, but there were a few pretty good gags here and there.

My favorite being Burns' version of Wyeth's "Christina's World", with him in her place - it made me fall out of my couch.

An entire episode spoofing the "7-Up" series of films? I mean, I got the reference, but how many people are familiar with those films? I've only read about them myself... Another typically mediocre episode.

But I have to admit, the new trailer is the first time I've thought the movie might be good. Damn good, in fact. My hopes are up!

Not that I expect continuity in the Simpsons anymore, but Homer has been to space, met several presidents, rock stars and other celebrities, saved the town from a meltdown (accidentally) and tons of other stuff. I would think a documentary about him would be packed to the gills.

But all that stuff happened during the eight-year periods between the filmmaker's visits to town so he didn't have any footage of that stuff.

I thought it was a mediocre episode, but there were still some funny parts (like the above poster mentioned about the Cat Lady).

The movie trailer looked pretty good. It still didn't really tell us about the actual plot, but it looked good. I think it's also cool that it's being filmed in 2.35:1 (at least looks like it judging by the trailer).

I watched the episode, then later as I was laying in bed, I tried to remember what is was about. It took me 5-10 mins to recall something about a documentary. Not a good episode.

Like most of the shows this year - not very funny.

So I guess almost every adult character in the show is the same age.
