I've seen about 8-10 of all three sitting around three different Best Buys as late as last week

Thanks! I ran down to Best Buy. The clerk was surprised to see Superman and Lex ring up at a quarter. Clark Kent came up $4.99 but they adjusted it to a quarter for me as well.

$1.50 for two sets of figurines.

Not bad! Thanks again to the OP!

Ordered mine from BB and chose in-store pick-up at the Rancho Cucamonga, CA, location. Had two of the Superman statues on the shelves and plenty in the back from what I understand. The CSR did a double-take when he saw the price.

Great item for a quarter!

Well, no Lex Luthor at mine but I did pick up Superman and Clark Kent (I did pay $4.99 for that one and 25 cents for the other). $5.48, not bad for something that had a sticker price of $30 each...

No lexs at mine. I did get a couple Supermen though. They also had the Clark Kents for $5. I wonder if I could get them to override them to .25 cents.

^ Well, mine also said Lex Luthor was available but they didn't. In fact, even when these first came out, I don't think they ever had the Luthor statues.

Kind of off topic, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread. Is that Superman Ultimate Collectors set (the tin) just a limited time thing? I can't find it anywhere!

No Lexs here either, and only one Clark. They did indeed override it to 25 cents without any fuss...

They're selling stock down then eventually re-releasing it is the lat they've said. A lot of best buys just got more in...CC's occasionally have some as well.

$30 each? The ones I saw were tagged with the usual BB yellow sticker at $4.99. Doubt these were ever retailing for THAT much.

They were originally $29.99 or $9.99 with the purchase of any Superman DVD.

All of the ones at my BB had the $29.99 price tag and the guy I talked to had no idea about the price reduction (nor did the cashier).

You should have just told them to scan it. No one knows about this but it should be nationwide.

I'm gonna head over to BB this morning when they open to see if they have em. It'll cost more in gas than the actual figures themselves!
