I know I'm overly paranoid, but is there any way to confirm that this is legit? I entered an email address that I know is totally bogus and that is not associated with an account, and it accepted it.

If you put in a different email other than your main one, are you absolutely sure you'll get the rebate?

There is a link from paypals site to this deal, for those of you who are concerned. Click on the 100$ million promotion. (and then click on the shopping site button)

Was about to post the same thing. There's a big banner ad on the page.

Okay, so if I buy a $28 dollar on ebay and the shipping or insurance pushes it up to $31, does that qualify? Or does the single item have to be at least $30 BEFORE shipping and/or insurance?

The following transactions are excluded from this offer: Send Money transactions, payments to Personal Accounts, eBay payments made to Personal Accounts, donations, PayPal Mobile transactions, payments for services, Virtual Debit Card payments, PayPal ATM/ Debit Card payments and PayPal Plus Credit Card payments not made through your PayPal account.

How am I supposed to know if the eBay seller I bought from has a personal account or business account?

Supposedly, everyone who advertises on EBay as accepting PayPal has a non-personal account. (Personal accounts cannot accept credit card payments, and EBay says anyone listing that they accept PayPal MUST accept cc payment and cannot restrict to other funded PayPal payments.)

OK. So there are no codes to enter, just spend $30 or more at an approved e-tailer and wait for the rebate, correct?

Thanks, went ahead and ordered Wii Play from CDUniverse. $51.94 before the rebate isn't terrible. $36.94 would be great since I couldn't get a Wii Remote for that price locally anyway.

My hesitation on this stems from the fact that the rebate could take as long as the end of May to deposit...

Probably not.

When you think about it, the Google Offer (even at $5 less) is instantly applied so the customer is 100% satisfied and will proceed with their order.

On the other hand, the Paypal Offer has some uncertainty regarding transaction eligibility requirements and the possibility of working like a mail-in rebate (electronic).

Im not seeing it .. maybe because the offer is limited to USA/Canada rather in internationals.

I was thinking the same thing. My suggestion ~ perhaps we can post initial success stories here on actually getting the rebate (and when you placed the order). Gives us an idea of how long we should expect this process to take.

I got the last Paypal rebate ($20 off $50) about 1 month after I made the purchase.

Considering I spent the required sum in the given timeframe at a registered merchant, and NEVER received the prior rebate, I'll never bother with another Paypal "rebate" promo again.
