So whats the trick to adding another 360 controller?

I bought another wireless controller for my 360. I had bought this shitastic JoyTech wired controller. But the buttons all stuck and the joysticks stuck in certain directions. So I got a Microsoft wireless controller. But when I hit the connect button the ring of green flashes fast a few times and then slow. About once a second. It never connects. I tried different batteries. What gives?

Are you pressing the connect button on the 360 (next to memory slot2) and on the controller (next to Left shoulder button)? The ring should flash and then connect.

You're supposed to press ))) button on controller AND console to make it connected. Put the controller near the console and press both buttons and wait few seconds. After it connected, you don't have to do it again anymore.

Doesn't anybody read instruction manuals anymore? It isn't really a "trick" to add another controller since the 360 manual tells you in detail how to do it.

You mean those papers with all the different languages on them? You are suppose to read those?

Exactly! I'm not fluent in six languages, so how would I ever be able to decipher all of the instructions?

That's why you need your own protocol droid.
