Man this is a tough choice. I might say go with Pirates first. That is a classic game and the PSP version is apparently very well done.

I didn't like Pirates that much, so I would get Lunar Knights. That said, if it's $15 cheaper, that's gotta be your call.

what if you could only get one?

im still stuck at this purchase. i mean i'd pay full price for pirates considering its a great game but i could get it for 20.

then again, its my gf's psp (but of course i could play it as much as i want when ever i want) and i own a ds lite.

which has better replay though?

never played any boktai games or pirates as well. looking for a game that will last me till phantom hourglass comes out.

never even heard of luanr knights. Searches on the web result in absolutely nothing.

So I'd go for Pirates. I got it for the PC, but I'm on a PC all day at work, so I really only just played it for one night (12 hours in a row though!). So it being on a portable system makes it way easier for me to get into. It's a good game.

I loved playing Pirates! on the pc and on the Xbox, but I know next to nothing about Lunar Knights. I plan on getting both titles, but if I had to choose between them I'd go with Pirates!.

Didn't even realize it was misspelt, haha, damn brain with auto-correct enabled.

For some reason the screen shots remind me of the old Little Big Adventure games.... now there's a series that needs a comeback.

topic title fixed haha sorry for the mistake.

yeah i bought pirates! but i still havent opened it. just wanted to cash on the 20$ deal.

anyway, i might still return it and save the credits for lunar knights.

still undecided but i really want one or the other.

i never played a pirates game before as well as a boktai game. but heard only great things about both.

how long does pirates last for?

what are bad things about the game in general?

I played Pirates on the PC, and I used to play it on Sega Genesis (Pirates! Gold). It gets repetitious after a while, but until then I played it a bunch.

There's really not much to it, sail around, attack towns, attack ships, buy stuff for cheap sell it for high, look for maps to relatives/treasure, court governor's daughters, try to beat other pirates, take over towns, and try to get lots of reputation before retiring. It lasts as long as you enjoy playing or still have goals (I've never been able to do everything there is to do within the scope of one game).

Pirates is a great game and well worth $20. I would play that one now and just pick up Lunar Knights down the road. Both are solid games looking at the reviews and from my experience playing Boktai and the PC version, but Pirates is a steal for $20.
