MI-5 Price Drop?
In the past few days (since thursday of last week for sure), it looks like the price of the first 3 seasons of MI-5 has dropped at DDD. S1 is 24.93 and season 2 and 3 are 49.87 a piece.
these are down from 32.49 and 56.49 respectivly.
I don't own them and keep hearing mixed reviews so i'm not sure about picking them up, but still the prices are getting better on them!

If you like 24, you'll love MI-5...

DVD Talk Special Edition
The price went down because of the BBC sale. I have the first three seasons and the show is awesome. I can't stand "24". I don't like shows that use that "handheld" camera effect, where they shake the camera around. It makes me sick, literally!

i don't have the money for them right now but i do appreciate the input. that also explains the price drop, though i didn't know there was a BBC sale going on now. still, good prices on an apparently good show

I've been wanting to pick up the first season for a while. Almost pulled the trigger and ordered it last week at $33, but patience pays off.
The few episodes I've seen I loved, so I'm looking forward to seeing the 1st season.

and if you are region-free, i think the R2 seasons 1-4 range from 12-15 uk pounds at amazon (less VAT, plus shipping). in the uk, it goes by it's true title, spooks. while s4 was the weakest series, it had some great moments and was still better than much of the crap on us tv. i think the dvdtalk reviewer was way off base in his review. 2 stars for spooks and i think 4.5 stars for the hardy boys?? sure, the show depicts the us govt in a negative light, but it is equally critical of its own govt.
season 5, which wrapped up in the fall was, for the most part, incredible. it starts off with the 2 most intense hours of tv i've seen.
typically the uk sets are full price for a few months and then see a significant price drop after maybe 4-6 months. but it looks like s5 isn't coming out till the fall. . .
