Pretty decent...a little slow to start but it picks up..the stuff with Tom is great and the lukes5858 stuff was very funny. Is anyone else really hating the visual style of this show - even in HD it just looks ugly and really really soft.

Pretty good episode. The side story with the snakes was pretty funny as was Kim showing up to the dinner dressed like a whore.
Lucy Davis looked great all made up in that dress
Speical guest star this week as the host of Studio 60 was

Yeah. Less relationship crap, more behind the scenes studio stuff!
The only good part(s) were the snake stuff.

Not bad, but too much of it was telegraphed. It was obvious last week that both of Tom's 'dates' would end up on the same day, and that somehow Lucy would end up mad about it. And the minute they walked onto the roof, you knew the door would be locked.
This stuff has been done on sitcoms for years, I expect more from this show. More like the Simon/Darius conflict - it's a real conflict in a real situation, not some silly misunderstanding or lie.
Other than that, pretty solid episode. Danny was awesome, so was Cal.
"Okay, bye now!"

The relationship stuff isn't the bad part.
Its the sitcom humor. Being locked on the roof *Yawn* The Snake. Just fodder, that does little to move any plotline forward. Relationship or otherwise. I think that there needs to be more corporate storylines and power struggles.
This episode was poorly written ... seemed lazy. The real scary thing is that its Part 1 of 3.

This episode was stupid. The Matt/Harriet plotline is stupid. The getting locked on the roof is stupid. The no cell service is stupid. The Simon/Darius plotline is stupid.
I wish this show was about Jack trying to run a major television network. That and Matt giving $1 more to the group sex people is the only enjoyable part of this show.

Can someone either give a quick review or point me to a good critic's review of the show? I meant to start watching this from the premiere and caught the first few minutes and had an emergency and couldn't watch the rest, and thought I had it DVRd but didn't and a few weeks later realized I had missed the first few episodes just didn't watch it. Anyway, it's a show that sounds interesting and the only thing I can find on DVD Talk is comments on the episodes themselves, and googling reviews for it just turns up a handful of professional critics one-liners about why they do or don't like the show.
If someone can point me to a good review or create one I'd very much appreciate it. I'm interested in how well the acting is, whether you can relate to any of the characters or situations, if it's good drama week to week, etc. Thanks!

Jordan is still one of the best characters on the show and has great chemistry with Danny. It falls apart when the writing is weak.

It seemed the money was to replace the snake that the ferret was going to kill.
