Mat Kearney - Nothing Left to Lose... what the heck?
I heard his catchy little album titled song on the radio so I decided to check out the rest of his stuff..............
.........what is this? He's trying to rap, it's really annoying. A huge suprise to me... I didn't expect a singer songwriter to randomly try to "spit a flow", and on multiple songs. I guess you could say he's just speaking with a rhythm, I don't know. It's not right and it's really pathetic.
Anyways,
What do you guys think of him?

I just picked it up and found a few surprises on it.
Had I bought it on sale I would have been more pleased.
Had he left the annoying rap stuff out I would have been even more pleased.
I think he is a talented singer/songwriter, but the rap stuff really didn't fit. A song would start out making me think it would be great, only to have him move into wrap, and then bring it back around to "normal", thus keeping it from being a really good song and in turn album.

I just discovered this disc today. Someone gave me a copy of "Poor Boy" about a month ago, and I just figured out who it was tonight.
There wasn't a single song on it I didn't like. I think I played "In the Middle" ten times.
