Saw III - 01/23/2007

Guys this is coming out on Tuesday

What would be the Best DEAL with SAW3?

Looks like each and every B&M store has an exclusive thing to offer?

Was it really that unrated for this SAW3 version? or it would be like its previous prequels which by October (near halloween) a special edition DVD comes out?

Target looks like the best deal with a bonus DVD (which appears to have more material than the other bonus DVD offered with SAW III, listed in the nest sentence) and exclusive cover. Circuit City is next with their own bonus DVD. Coming up behind is Best Buy with only a film cell. No word on any exclusives with Wal-Mart. I'm getting both Target and Circuit City editions.

I think I am gonna wait and see if there is going to be a 2-disc special edition around halloween, like they have been doing. If not, I'll Just pick up the single disc unrated during the holiday season 2007.

There is a questionable mark there.. despite this release is "unrated"

Would the second release is "unrated-special edition" ?

I actually like the SAW3 Bes buy exclusive, so that's where I'm going for...Target's bonus disc is on the evolution of amanda. Kinda lame if you've been watching the series.

I don't know this will catch anyones attention but when you buy saw 3 at kmart you can get Saw 1 and Saw 2 for $2.99 each, but I think it applies to single disc versions only.

To each their own but I'm first and foremost a DVD collector; I'm perplexed when people choose a non-bonus DVD offering over a bonus DVD one.

Any word on a package deal @ Wal-Mart? Last week, they had TCM: The Beginning packaged with the 2-disc Platinum Edition of the remake for a meager $17.96.

I love lenticular covers, so Target is where I'll be buying mine.

If that's a lenticular cover, I'm definitely picking it up. I'm sure you'll have a picture up tomorrow if it is a lenticular cover! Can't wait to see it!

We had the Target Exclusive today in the store and I did not notice it as a lenticular cover, but I was in a dark stockroom so I'm not 100% sure. I also noticed that the Blu Ray version comes with a cardboard dust cover also.

I'm going to try and price match this at Circuit City to the 2 Disc.

ATTENTION 'SAW III' SHOPPERS! I just got back from Wal-Mart and we need have no fear--their exclusive bonus DVD is NOT related to the SAW franchise. It is a bonus feature film from George A. Romero called BRUISER. Stick with Target and Circuit City!

FYI the Target exclusive is NOT a lenticular cover, just an exclusive slipcover different from the regular release. Also the Target I shop at had 6 copies only of the exclusive edition, plenty of full screen versions and NO widescreens. I think they are holding back the widescreens so people will buy the exclusive edition...

I went to Kmart this morning and picked up SAW I,II,III. The ad shows that you buy III for 17.99 and you get I and II for 2.99 each. Well in the ad they have the deluxe 2 disc versions printed. At the store they tried to tell me only the regular versions were 2.99. I fought them tooth and nail and they finally caved in to shut me up. Unfortunately they only had the SE of II, I got stuck with the bare bones of SAW I but i'm going to try another Kmart on the way home...

I don't think that any Targets are holding back the widescreen versions of Saw 3. My store did not get them until Monday morning (we usually get them a week in advance) so I think there might have been delays either from the movie company or our Target distribution centers. They should have plenty in the next couple days.

If anybody sees Saw III on Blu-Ray while they're out today I'd appreciate an update. I'll be checking walmart in a few hours.
