Any chance of Almost Famous: Director's Cut being released again?

I've wanted to get this thing for the longest time, but I can't find a decent price or the complete package.

Do any of you know if perhaps something is being done?

Thanks.

Check some Suncoast stores, I've seen a few still lying on the shelves on occasion.

Called the ones closest to me, but no such luck.
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Do you think this could work maybe?

I realize that this doesn't really help you at all, but keep an eye out at used dvd/book/cd stores. I picked up my copy of this set for $9.99 at one (and it still had the Stillwater CD enclosed within).

Wow! 10 bucks?
I found it for 30$ at this store called Amoeba, but it was missing the Stillwater CD and wasn't in that good condition.

I will definitely keep checking back though. Thanks.

But from the responses, I take it this thing isn't going back on the market.
Pity...I don't know why it's OOP. If it's the Stillwater CD, they could just take that out. What's the hold-up? Oh well.

i was the one who discovered and posted about the 8.99 deal at borders. It was OOP at the time that happened, which is why i sent down to grab it. still tagged super expensive, but I had a coupon...rang up 8.99, plus i got the coupon off....

so you might try borders, but it seems that was there closeout price.

9 is an amazing price, but I'm willing to pay retail for it (but not more).
I'll check out Borders, thanks.

None of my local Blockbusters had it though.

I think Borders' supply got pretty much dried up when they were selling it for $8.99. I was traveling throughout the southeast at the time and checked stock at every Borders in 8 states trying to find one with no luck. Your best bet without paying ebay prices is used DVD racks or some of the Suncoast/Sam Goody/FYE stores that charge full MSRP. I know I saw 1 or 2 in the Hampton Roads area this past October so there are some to be found.

You can use www.bordersstores.com to check inventory at a particular location. You're only allowed to search up to six locations at a time, so it can be tedious. However, this is how I found most of my Disney Treasures (that were OOP), and a couple OOP Criterions as well.

I would just add six stores, search for titles, and if they didn't have them, remove those stores and add the next six. Once a store said they had something in stock, I'd give them a call and have them actually check if they had it. If they did, I'd ask them to ship it to me, since I wasn't anywhere near there. They'll ship out an order for something like $3-5 FedEx, so it's not a bad deal.

Hope that helps!

Oh, thanks.

I hadn't thought of that.

I'll do that when I have free time, hope it works.

I love this set. Glad I got it before it went OOP.
