Good episode and definately a creepy performance from Ned Beatty. For a one-episode serial killer, not too bad of a story. Also, are we going to have to wait a few weeks for any movement on the miniature killer?
Schreiber is one of my favorite supporting actors so it was cool to see him in this setting. Should be interesting to see how they expand his character. Depending on where they take this character, I wonder if CBS/Bruckheimer is setting up a profiler tv series starring him...
Oh, and did some of this episode remind anyone of Cold Case? For me with the music made it feel that way and seemed to be a departure for the series.

I like next week's episode where the youngins team up against Willows and Schrieber's character, but I'm mystified as to why they won't give Brown more face time. He's clearly Grissom's #2 and has the LV native connection with Catherine, but only got to run one shift when Gil was out racing roaches or something.

What is up with the Scooby Doo Endings - "and I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling CSI's"
They had no case against this guy!! the bite imprint from an old negative that was infested with mice, and they had to reconstruct his bite imprint from x-rays..... No jury would convict!
This guy was a nice old man - everyone loved him
