ORIGINAL XBOX purchasing help.

i need an original xbox, and would like to avoid eBay as much as possible.

if any of you work or own videogame stores with an original xbox in stock, manufactured beyond 2005, please let me know ASAP.

i will send payment for system and shipping immediately.

Mmmm New XBOX is getting RARE & kinda hard to find it at local STORE. I did recommand get XBOX 360 instead. I spended 2 weeks to find new xbox & no where to be found ... i next option is XBOX 360 but i'll wait for the latest XBOX 360.5 coming soon around summer or Fall this year.

Gamestop is offering a $80 trade in credit on a used xbox towards a new 360 purchase. They should have a used xbox.

only problem with gamestop is you don't know how old the system is unless you look before you buy. From what I've seen there are not too many used ones around either. I just traded mine in about a month ago while the trade in was still worth while. I think I got around $130 with the system 4 controllers and about 6 games traded in. It helped me buy my Wii.

I don't think you can evan buy a new system unless you get lucky and find one on the shelf.

I looked awhile back, but they are impossible to find new. The only people that have new ones that I have found are selling them for the price of a 360 at Ebay and Amazon stores. They have been out of production for too long to still find them. The ease of hacking them into media centers has kept up the demand. Especially if you can find one with a Samsung or Phillips drive.

i already have an original xbox, and with over 200 games on it, i definitely want to look into buying another. if this one shits out on me..yea. anyways, i've never considered buying a used console, EVER. i'm a total germophobe, and i would rather pay 300 for a new xbox than get a used one for 80.

i'll check ebay, i suppose. the shipping costs are going to suck too.

i'm really looking at this one. it's coming from canada though. is this a bad idea?
also, should i try to get one manufactured later? i just sent him a message asking manufacture date.
i just REALLY need an xbox, and i guess ebay is the only way to go.

Those Forza packs were the last ones made. I would grab one of those.
Buying a used Xbox is not a big risk, btw. Most of the parts needed to fix one are available online and the things are pretty easy to tinker with. I added a 250GB HDD to a Halo one for myself and put a new clear case and 160GB HDD in one for my son. Really cool systems for music, video, emulation and of course you can still pop in an Xbox game as well.
