Is this a scheduled price drop?

Also dvdplanet seems to have it for $77.97, not $47.97.

Yeah it looks like the msrp is down to $79.95 at dvdplanet, but there is not much of a discount on it.

Good this means I can wait on it till the 20% sale and decide if I really want it.

I love the books, but heard this series was sort of mediocre. Any thoughts?

I was happy when I paid around $80 a few years ago. Under $50 is a steal.

I haven't read the books, but I thought the series was excellent. Almost all the reviews are very positive. I've never heard anyone describe it as "mediocre".

I really like the books as well, and the series does a pretty good job recreating them and using a lot of the same language. It's really great.

Thanks for the reviews guys! I'm going to B&N tonight to check out their TV BOGO sale, hopefully they have this set.

They might have the set, but I will not be listed at the lower msrp, it will still be $130. That was what it was at one of my local stores a couple days ago.

Yeah, I know it is hard to find a deal at B&N, even with buy one get one free.

But I have a couple hundred $ in gift cards, some of them with expiration dates, so I have to buy something.

The BOGO combined with the mastercard $10 coupon will make these not too horrible of a deal (if they have them and I find a comparably priced set to get free).

Yeah, and I friggin ordered it at that price a few days ago before I learned of this MSRP drop. I feel like an idiot now. Oh well. I plan on selling the Buffy Chosen Collection I bought with it, so Jeeves will end up being free in the long run...

I've been watching this for ages, waiting for the price drop, but I might just bite the bullet and get the R2 version. There are a bunch of British TV I want (like Spooks, Fry and Laurie, Father Ted, Black Books, etc), so I might just do one big order and get it over with.
