Thanks for the link. There are a few Criterion's out there that are better than DDD during the 20% off even without the Mastercard discount. Box sets of Great Adaptations and Olivier's Shakespeare are a few dollars cheaper (if you are a member). I don't plan on getting them, but I thought I'd point them out. There are a LOT of DVD's in this deal, some good, some bad, but a LOT to go through...thanks again for the link.

Thanks bohemian1 ---

Also I believe the coupon can be printed and used in the store as well -- get double the fun

And that's what I like about BN and their sales -- the prices can be good with member 10% which adds onto coupons (like above) PLUS the $25 free ship that is 3-DAY UPS, fast ship, no charge -- just as good as Amazon Prime (except Amazon has no min and is 2-day, not much diff unless order late in the week)

only 35% off the MSRP is really not much of a discount. with an additional 10
% for coupon , it still not really that good

But in this case it's 10$ off not 10%. I think it's a decent deal, depending on what the item is.

Agreed. With the coupon, IF you really want two of those Criterion titles (for example), that would work out to 20.98 apiece for two 39.98 titles.

Not bad.

There's quite a few blu-ray and HD-DVDs on sale too. I couldn't find a place where they listed them all though, I just had to go by searching the BD and HD section and looking for the Holiday sale icon.

That 20% off code does not seem to work.

I used the $10.00 coupon on the Criterion Early Bergman upcoming set.

$48.26 shipped with tax.

Amazon has it listed at $62.99

Thanks OP (and the person who pointed out the B1G1F on TV boxsets). Used up all my store credit and paid less than $15 out of pocket for all three Galatica seasons!

Peep, that is a good show. That was well worth your $$. I have been watching on the Sci-Fi network since the Galactica mini-series.

I know it looks like a sci-fi show on the outside, but it is much, much more. I can see why a popular magazine called it "the best show on television". It is an adult drama show that is very character-driven. The characters react to the situations in very believable ways. There are lots of allegories to things in our world.

During the December break from the new third season, I just watched it on DVD again (4-hour miniseries, 13 season 1 episodes, 20 season 2.0 and 2.5 episodes). Still reasonates with a second or third viewing.

One warning though: it is not for kids (my opinion). It is very dark, very adult, but it is very good.
