Are pixel issues still a problem with the PSP?

I just exchanged mine for a new one, after opening it in the parking lot and checking it out.
i accidently forgot to give them the other mem card too, so I wound up with an extra one.

I got my PSP in March last year. I think I went through 4 units before I finally got one with no visible dead pixels. I know that probably doesn't help you now, but I seriously doubt quality control has gotten any better in 9 months.
