Gears of War
I am loving this game. I am not very talented with shooters so wondering if anyone would care to play along with me on Live anytime in the future. With co-op maybe i have a better shot at finishing this game.

Anyone else think the controls are a bit tough in this game? I had to play that level where you need to plug the emergence holes about 25 times before I finally beat it. I've gotten better but it usually does not take me that long to learn games. I'm happy the game got better but I was getting incredibly frustrated playing that level.

Yeah i guess. Just the other day I was noticing how much the grenades bounce, and even more annoying, how they slide past the target in certain situations. They're ok in general though.
I miss the sticky plasma grenade from Halo

you can't get a kill that way, is why i don't. If I don't know they have grenades, and I get tagged, I just hit them with the butt of my gun. It slows them down where you can just stand there, and they'll blow up too.
If i know they have grenades, they're basically screwed. I wait till they are coming after me, jump straight backwards, and blow off their damn head

Whatta you talk? I've been killed that way. I tagged a guy and he dived right at me and I died with him. I know his team won with that move. I think I tired it once and it worked. I think you get a suicide but who cares.

I have much more of a problem with the pistol melee though. It has all of the strengths of chainsaw with none of the weaknesses.

These are all pretty small balance problems when compared to most shooters though. Especially compared to a game like Halo 2 where the whole weapon set is broken.
Hopefully they will tweak a few things with the next update.

yea, you play with a few people every now and again that will whore the crap out of the snipe rifle. Its the same with the 'nades, for me anyway. If im aware of what they are using, I act accordingly.
I guess they figure, if you got hit by a snipe, you'd be pretty mess up too

Do a lot of people still play this game? I got tired of it extremely quick...only play co-op now. Once I've finished it, I'll probably sell it.
