Movies w/ Animal Deaths
I did a search for this topic and nothing came up, so....
I for one, hate watching movies with an animal death in it (dog, cat, etc). Is there some type of a movie site that has a list of movies that have them, so I can avoid them?
The movie that I'm curious about is The Descent. I just bought it, and was wondering if it had one.

I feel the same way. I tend to avoid movies, even those with stellar reviews, if I know before that animals die or are harmed. As far as human deaths in movies, bring em' on, the more the better.

It doesn't bother me, but my wife goes nuts when this happens so I try to research films before we watch them together. I remember I showed her Dances with Wolves and she totally lost it (I'd completely forgotten that there's a TON of animal deaths in there).
I'm frankly surprised that she still watches The Shield with me.
One of the most surprisingly horrendous films for animal lovers has got to be Babe 2: Pig in the City. I remember when I saw that there was a little girl, probably six or so, screaming in horror at all the goings on.

I would advise against renting Fresh.
Also, whatever you do, don't watch The Food of the Gods. That movie contains tons of real killing (not just representative) of rats. Shooting with .22s, electrocution and drowning. Graphic and real time.
Oh yeah. Steer clear of Cannibal Holocaust unless you have a grudge against turtles.

Spoiler:
Speaking of dogs, if you love them, you won't like Amores Perros.

I haven't seen it, but doesn't Fast Food Nation climax in a slaughterhouse?
And, of course, there are dogs killed in Mimic and Alien3.
EDIT: Need I mention the famous scene in Oldboy?
In The Hills Have Eyes, a dog is killed offscreen, and onscreen there's a scene where a cannibal bites off a budgie's head and pours its blood into his mouth.
