If you notice carefully, most of the $8.88 DVDs don't qualify for the free shipping offer. Without the free shipping this deal is most certainly killed. Moreover, I have seen most of these DVDs for lesser elsewhere in other sales (e.g. DDD B1G1 sales)

In my opinion buy.com can suck it after not shipping an item (bought as a gift) that they claimed to be in stock and days later changed to be "on order". And they haven't responded to my email either. My wife wasn't too happy to find out about it since it was one of her few presents this year. We spend most of our Christmas money on our daughter and just buy each other a couple of small things.

I find it weird that so many people have problems with buy.com and their shipping and in-stock/out of stock items. I've never had a problem and I've made 5-6 orders through google checkout in the last 2 weeks and received all but 2 of them within a week and if I get the last 2 by Tuesday Wednesday those will also arrive within a week. In general I've found buy.com and DVDPlanet's shipping much quicker than DDD.
