Charlie Rose Show: 12/20 - Mexican Directors Night!

Alejandro González Iñárritu, Alfonso Cuarón, and Guillermo Del Torro are scheduled to be on tonight. The show will also be available on Rose's website later in the week.

I hope my ancient VCR still works. It comes on at midnight on a channel I know I get and at 8:30 on one I may or may not get.

My VCR remote battery casing was loaded with alkali, but it worked with the batteries from my TV remote. I set it for today's date and yesterday at 12 am. Called the Moms and asked her to Tivo it off DirectTV.

I should be able to see this. I hope Guillermo gets caught cussing. He is a poet.

Just set it for 11:59PM. No midnight confusion. I DVRed this but haven't seen it. Will probably do it tonight while I wrap presents.

Just finished watching it. I didn't know they were all such close friends. Iñarritu and Cuarón are two of my favorite directors, and Del Toro is very good as well. I thought it was a great hour and it was nice to get Iñarritu's thoughts on what Babel was about: it made a bit more sense now and I can admire him a bit more.

I hope they all have succesful careers for a long time.

My Ancient Sony still works (pretty good, too).

Sleepy. Couldn't resist watching.

Cool shit all around. I was also unaware of these guys’ camaraderie. del Torro was restrained, damn it.

I am leaking tears waiting for the Pan’s Labyrinth release. Their implied spoilers about the end are killing me.

One of the best film-related shows Charlie Rose has done. I thought he did a nice job keeping the conversation balanced among the three and it was particularly cool to get a glimpse into Del Torro's notebook.

"It's a creature from Hellboy 2" ...

Thank you for posting this thread. I would have been kicking myself if I missed that show.
