Xbox 360 advice
So I'm thinking of getting the 360 today and I want to buy two to three games with it. I know for sure that I want Dead Rising. Can you guys recommend some more games to me? Should I get WWE, GOW, Saints Row, or what? I appreciate any and all help.

Definitely get Gears of War (if you are going to be playing it online)
Dead Rising is pretty fantastic, so that's kind of a given.
Id recommend either Fight Night Round 3 (for the amazing controls), Moto GP 06 (for the most realistic driving sim out) Chrome Hounds (awesome online mech fighting game), or possibly Oblivion, if you are into that sort of thing

I just got one last month... Gears of War is a must. Shooters are not close to my favorite genre, but Gears is a great game that I've totally been enjoying. Depending on what types of games you like, Saints row is a lot of fun. Oblivion (RPG) is a must if you like RPGs at all.

Cool, thanks guys. I'm not gonna be playing online so I will definately get Saints Row and Dead Rising and most likely the Battle for Middle-Earth II since my PC cant handle it. I'm stuck between what shooter to get, I've heard Gears, Call of Duty 2, and Perfect Dark Zero are all good.

Absolutely do not get Moto GP 06.
For shooters, I wouldn't do Perfect Dark Zero. Call of Duty 2 is cheap (I think, right?) and GoW seems to be popular. I think Saint's Row, Dead Rising, and Gears are a great choice.
My suggestion? Get Call of Duty 2 (Amazon has it for $30) and also get Test Drive Unlimited, the best all-around racing game on the 360. Amazon has it for $33. I think you'll get more enjoyment out of those two than Gears or Saints Row, IMHO.

if you wanted a cheap game, PDZ and CoD2 are alright. There are enough people that are unloading Gears that you could probably get it for 35-45 online. The game is really for online play IMO, so if you aren't planning to go online right away, it might be wise to wait on that one.
If you want a true, realistic driving sim, moto GP 06 takes the cake. Most people can't get over the steep learning curve, but I think its essential you want to get an accurate bike experience on a home console.
Test Drive is pretty lack luster if you aren't going to play online. Once you get some high end cars, the competition just isn't there like it is online

Do what I did: Read the thread where forum members are listing their top 5 Xbox 360 games. I bought most of my titles based on these lists/recommendations.

For shooters, COD2 and Gears or War.
For games on the cheap, I'd recommend FNR3 and Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
For Sports, I can't get enough of Tiger Woods 2007.

Go to game stop or EB and get them used. Buy 2 get 1 free ends tomorrow. You could at least get used copies of COD2, Saints Row and Dead Rising with one of those three free. GOW may be tough to find used but i'm sure there's copies to be found. I'd reccomend Prey and F.E.A.R. as well.

Wheres Condemned? That is one of the all-time most immersive games so far.
I can do without PDZ, especially if you dont like shooters. COD2 (not 3) is one of the best FPS so far.

I would start off with some of the cheap games that have now dropped in price. Since you are coming late to the 360 party take advantage of the price drops.
Kameo is an excellent action adventure game and can be found pretty easily for $30 new or less.
Burnout Revenge is a great arcade style racer that can be had for $30 new everywhere or $20 new at gamerush.
Condemned is a unique FPS with great graphics, and has been on sale quite a bit recently. You could easily find it for $20-$30
Call of Duty 2 was a great lauch title and is still a great game. I am sure this can be found cheap too.
Don't overlook the games that have been out for a while, while you are playing these, you can wait for others to drop. I would forget about PDZ though, from what I have played so far (first few levels) it sucks.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm gonna go for Dead Rising, Saints Row, and Fight Night Rd. 3 right now and pass on Perfect Dark Zero and Gears of War (since I won't be playing online). I might get LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth II, anybody have good/bad reviews on that one? Also, will definately check out COD2. Is it really that much better than part 3?

honestly bro...
I played that game for 15 minutes, and sold it as fast as I possibly could.
RTS games just weren't made for consoles, at least that's my opinion. Also, the visuals were good, but the game play itself didn't really impress me. If you are a huge fan of RTS, or even LotR, it might be worth a purchase, but that is a title I recommend you rent before you buy.
I even showed it to a few other people that agreed. Seemed cool, but they would never play the thing.
