The XBox 360 is at 78.8%, but it's only had 2 reviews.
I'm going to wait for more reviews on the XBox 360 version of Legacy.

That Star Trek game looks interesting, indeed.

Has anyone read about the supposed plot twist to Assassin's Creed? It is not officially confirmed, but if it does prove to be true then this link will be a massive spoiler so read it at your own risk.

Got my wireless headset in today and found out that the Sync button on the 360 is not working. I had mine shipped back to me for the 3 red lights about 2 months ago and I would guess they had done something to mess up the sync button. I am waiting for another box to ship it back in.

I got the Star Trek game and I'm thinking of just taking it back. It's pretty bad. The combat is clunky as hell and the whole strategy element is completely undercooked. Either there's a set of advanced controls I'm not seeing or the game is just badly designed. Even worse is that the levels can go on for up to half an hour but they have no checkpoints, so if you fail to achieve and objective, you start all the way back from the beginning. I'm three levels in and I already feel like this game is a waste of time.

Yeah something told me it would have "issues". These days you have assume a game will suck until you hear otherwise. Not the other way around.

Now is not the time to give up on Japan.
Blue Dragon is turning some heads and has obviously made an impact on sales in Japan. Lost Odyssey, Lost Planet and Eternal Sonata (aka Trusty Bell) are coming out as well and are the type of games the Japanese like.
The problem with Japan was there werent many games on the 360 that would attract that market - but that's beginning to change. If these games don't make any substantial difference in the 360's stance in Japan, THEN it might be time to give up.
Until then, it's still a wait and see scenario.

Honestly, I am surprised even six Xboxes were sold. I expected a big zero there. MS's contract with Nvidia ran out a year ago, so MS stopped producing new Xbox consoles a year ago. It is basically impossible to find a new Xbox on shelves now unless you get really lucky. Those six Xboxes sold in Japan must have been old stock that had been sitting there over a year.

Does Japan actually want Lost Planet? I always thought that game was catered more towards the western audience. Dead Rising was Capcom's last 360 game, and it didn't make any impact in Japan. I thought it was more of a western style game too. I don't think the Japanese are into the zombie craze like we are.

That said: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/top/dea...pan-204493.php
Doesn't give overall numbers sold, but has some good insight. Apparently the game got the toughest rating in Japan (Z) and was practically treated like pornography. D would be equal to our M with Z being AO.
A Suitable for all ages
B Suitable for 12 years old and above
C Suitable for 15 years old and above
D Suitable for 17 years old and above
Z Can only be sold to 18 years old and above
It's good to see the 360 gaining some ground in Japan, though, 35,000 isn't amazing but it's definitely a step in the right direction. Also, Lost Planet has mechs, of course it's geared toward eastern gamers .

The key here is for Japanese RPG's, until MS gets enough of those out, you are not going to see a lot of 360's sold in Japan. They are starting though, as you can tell with Blue Dragon.

Newbie question: I just bought a 360 today. Should I buy new component cables to connect to my 42" Panasonic plasma, or will the ones that come with the system suffice? Thanks in advance!

They're working closely with Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy creator) and his new company Mistwalker to target the Japanese market with games like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey so far. They also have another game in development called Cry On and another untitled game.
The arrangements with Mistwalker can really help the 360 in Japan, which is why MS wont be giving up on that market any time soon.

So I recently bought a PS3 (mostly fro Blu-Ray use), but since I've bought it, I've been looking at all the next-gen games coming out, and I realized that I should get a 360 too, because the ones that really intrigue me are all 360 exclusives! Especially Gears of War and BioShock, both of which I will not be holding my breath to see come out for the PS3
