Is there a schedule price drop? Each one says this:
*THIS IS A PRE-ORDER! I UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL BE CHARGED NOW AND THAT THE DVD'S I AM ORDERING AND ALL OTHER ITEMS IN THIS ORDER WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL JANUARY 8, 2007

they may not get their shipment until around then (so they're pre-selling it or something) or they get a bigger discount by the more they sell, so they're selling early to get them ordered so they know how many they need/how much % off. At least they're being honest and saying it'll be charged right away but won't ship until 1/8

I would say these collections rank in quality in this order: #2, #1, #3. I don't have #4, but I'm ordering it from here, yo! Great find, docdoowop!

Agree with you. I remember watching the episodes #2 when it came on TV originally and they are funnier than the others.

I agree with this ranking! And I'm gonna order #4, too (the only one I am missing).

Thanks for posting! I ordered all 4.

I got S1 when it first came out for like $45, but traded it long ago for some on my higher want list. I always meant to go back and get them when the price dropped and more seasons were available. It is a great show accross the board. Can't go wrong getting all 4 for under 80 bucks! Crazy deal. Thanks again!

Who is Truman Capote?

Wow. This is a great deal. I'll bite.

On a somewhat related note, would somebody be able to tell me if there are any plans to release the earlier incarnation of SCTV in season sets? I see a SCTV: Best Of The Early Years, but that's it. Also, I assume that the Christmas With SCTV contain Christmas Specials that are not included in the season sets?

paul, this review of the BEST OF THE EARLY YEARS speaks a little bit about the early episodes, the limited offering of episodes on the BEST OF THE EARLY YEARS and what a bummer this set was for us hard core SCTV fans (like yourself) looking for the early episodes complete.
if i'm correct the single disc specials (christmas disc included) are rehashes from some of the sets already out.

I've ordered from them before with no problem, but I've always wondered "who" they were---and today I found that they offer almost the same items as Service Merchandise (.com). SM used to be a huge B&M jewelry (and other stuff) chain...both GM and SM have similar items, shopping categories and shipping charges.....anyway, just a curiosity I had.....p.s., I ordered volume one.....

Are the DVDs they sell brand new, same as the retail copies I can buy at Best Buy? Or do they punch holes on the UPC's or scratch off the UPC's on the DVDs they sell? Can anybody please answer my question quickly? Thanks.

Just a heads-up, for the next week or so, Newbury Comics has these 4 sets in-store for only $14.99 each. [EDIT: They are $12.99 each, as noted in a post below.] There's a coupon on their website. (If you don't know what Newbury Comics is, there's probably not one near you!)

All the copies at Newbury Comics (which are $19.99 this week or $12.99 with the e-mail coupon) had slashes through the bar codes. I wonder if these are being cleared out in general.

Just got my shipping confirmation as well. I really couldn't care less if the bar codes are altered. I'm getting all 4 vol's. for less than the retail cost of each originally.

FangsFirst and elektrohog,

Thanks for your replies, sorry I didn't say so sooner, but I lost track of this thread.

Man, that will really be a bummer if the ones ordered from Graveyard Mall show up with slashed UPC codes.
