30 Rock - The Break-Up - 12/14/2006

The Break-Up

Synopsis: When Liz finally dumps her boyfriend Dennis, she prowls the singles scene under Jenna's tutelage. Love also stinks for Jack, as he discovers dating a Bush administration official has its downside. And Tracy and Toofer clash, which lands both in sensitivity training.

Black Fraiser

"It just sounds so hateful coming from you."

"I cried like a big dumb homo."

"Sneaky Taiwanese tranny that stole my watch."

I'm easily amused.

I had never seen this show before, and I'll never watch it again.

It was almost unwatchable.

I'm sorry.

"The problem with 20 year olds is half of them are 16" The dateline bit made that even better.

"What's wrong Lemon, did the Liberty lose again last night?"

I thought it was hilarious.

That made me laugh out loud. Baldwin is continually amusing as all get out on this show.

And Tracy filing the complaint was awesome.

(with a handful of balloons) "I'm here to boff some chick named Mary."

"She said she was 16, but I swear to God I could tell she was 22."

Dennis kicks ass...

Dennis was great this episode! His goodbye letter to Liz at the office and his explanation to Jack about the dog licking his feet were hilarious.

I liked the battle between Tracy and Toofer, especially when Toofer called him my [vacuum]. "It's sounds so hateful coming from you!"

The subplot about Jack dating Condoleeza Rice didn't make a lot of sense.

Is Dennis no longer going to be on the show? I hope not, as I think he's great on it.

Does anyone have the definitive list of 'Tracy Jordan' movies?

The only ones I can remember are 'Who Dat Ninja?' and 'Honkey Grandma Be Trippin'

EDIT: Just remembered 'President Homeboy'

only complaint is that the TGS skit they aired with "star jones" wasn't very funny or original. i think i would have rather seen the "finished" tracy/twofer skit.

Laughed at plenty of the jokes, but the Jack story was odd. It reminded me of a Newsradio Stephen Root/Jimmy James bit.

That's totally who they should have on the show -- Root as an executive of some sort.

I'll also note here that I strongly disagree about the Star Jones sketch. It was funny because Jordan chose it over the sketch they wrote together.

That was the point. The (possibly) intelligent, insightful sketch that came out Tracy and Twofer's conflict throughout the entire episode was thrown out for an easy laugh-getting "endless vomiting" sketch.

I loved the shot of putin grabbing condi's ass.

And the initial scene with dennis telling her that 4 black guys chased his cousin, and she responded something like
why do you have to tell me the muggers were black
and he said
they were cops

I'll say this for the last time ... Star Jones did NOT have gastric bypass surgery!

I'll bet you her husbands heterosexuality!
