Overboard and Wildcats - Does Goldie Hawn possess some sort of hypnotic power?
I can't tell you how many times I've seen these movies, but I can tell you how many times I've actually sat down to watch them: once for Wildcats and once for Overboard.
HOWEVER, whenever I'm clicking through channels and I come across either of these films, I find myself stopping and watching. They're ok movies...nothing too special. But there's something about them that forces me to watch despite no real desire to do so.
What average movies affect you in a similar manner?

Brittany Murphy has the same effect on me.
Little Black Book seems to come on cable every day and I always have to stop and watch it. Even though it's not my type of flick. Same goes for the one with Ashton (I still don't even know the name of it!)

Both Wildcats and Overboard are shockingly good movies.
It helps that there's a Goldie Bath tub scene in Wildcats and a thong bikini shot of her ass in Overboard.
Plus in Wildcats you have young Woody, young Wesley, and the late great Nipsey Russell as "Principal Edwards".
[Principal Edwards] Riiiiiiighhhttt.... [/Principal Edwards]

Just looked at the cast at IMDB and didn't notice how long of a career "Cerul" has had!

I love Wildcats...one of my favorite movies in my younger days.
One movie that always stops me in my tracks is The Survivors with Walter Matthau and Robin Williams. It's an awful movie but I can't turn away from it.

Have to agree with Robo. Although these are far from the Casablancas and Citizen Kanes of the world, they are just good, fun movies...Best thing about Wildcats, the cheerleaders.

"U-G-L-Y, you ain't got no alibi! You ugly, your momma said so."
If it's on TBS/TNT, I'll most likely stop to watch since it always seems to be 1) Field of Dreams or 2) Shawshank Redemption.
As for another Goldie film, I'll stop on Bird on a Wire and Foul Play, too.

Have been hoping that it would get a price drop for ages but, along with Let It Ride, appears to be one of the titles that CTHV has never brought down to a reasonable price point.

Spies Like Us Such a bad movie yet I love the hell out of it. Now a DVD with OAR wouldn't be out of the question.
