Here is the news: Great deal on Electric Light Orchestra remasters...

I figured this would be better to post in the music forum than the bargains forum. I have seen some love for Jeff Lynne and ELO on these boards previously and figured I would post this deal for those who are interested in the ELO remasters cds (many of which just came out in the last few months) and all have bonus tracks. I had no idea they were even released as this has been done with little fanfare.

He finally got around to releasing the remaining albums and now the only missing ones are Out Of The Blue and Balance Of Power which are due in the near future.

Anyway, the deal is at http://www.sonymusicstore.com/store/...ight+orchestra . You get free shipping for any order over $25 and you get 10% off your order with the coupon code HOLIDAY (and 15% off boxsets). This applies not only to ELO's stuff but their entire website. This comes to $8.08 each for the ELO discs which is the best deal I have seen anywhere. Just thought I would spread the news.

I have ordered from them many times and they are always great. I just got the rest of my remasters 3 days after I ordered from them.

Thanks Brian, you would have been my first notice on this had not BMG emailed me yesterday about a couple of those remasters showing up on their site (I checked off to be informed by them when this indeed did happen). I'm going to pick up a couple of mid-70's releases, but I wish Out of The Blue was included. Why is that one last?

I wish BMG or YourMusic had "Discovery".

Looks like Out of the Blue is coming out on February 20, 2007

"Out of the Blue" (1977 album; remastered, with three bonus tracks - "Wild West Hero," "The Quick and The Daft" and "Latitude 88 North")

Great news.

Balance of Power will hopefully be coming out at the same time and it better not be ignored. That oft-maligned album is one of my favorite ELO works.

Outstanding News! I also agree that their albums are great candidates for DVD-A.

Balance of Power will be released in the US on March 30. In the UK it is released the same day as Out of the Blue.

Check out the picks of the limited version of Out of the Blue. I want.

Just wanted to pump this thread up for those who are interested.

Even though music is not included in the 20% off Deep Discount sale, they have most all the remasters at $7.98 each and the special Out of the Blue packaging at $10.98. Best deal I have seen on these anywhere and well worth it.

Did anyone else preorder from this place? Posters were supposed to be included in the deal, but I never received mine, and e-mails to two different addresses have gone unanswered.
