Any Donkey Kong Jungle Beat fans out there?

EBGames and Gamestop has Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and an extra set of drums for $14.99. I am contemplating picking this up but am wondering how many of you have played it and whether it's actually worth it.

It is Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, not Donkey Konga. It is still a good deal, but you'll need to pick up the Konga games elsewhere.

And yes, I like the Konga games if you have people to play them with.

It's a very fun game (but short). Great deal with two bongos.

The Konga games have more replay value, so I'd pick one of them up as well. I'd go with the first one, the song list is pretty shitty on the second one.

Anyone know if the congas are compatible with the Wii?

So I went ahead and picked up Donkey Kong Jungle Beat with two sets of bongos for just $14.99 at GameStop. Sounded like a pretty good deal I couldn't pass up. Can't wait to try it when I get off work tomorrow.

That's quite a steal. I might have to see if mine has one just to get the two bongos (that'll make four and I can have a party)!

If you go to ebGames.com or Gamestop.com and print off their ad, you can take it to your local store and they'll accept it. Deal ends December 14th I think.

I'm gonna have to head over in the morning and see if they have them... and I might pick up Rampage: Total Destruction ($9.99) as a stocking stuffer.

Just got back from GameStop and I'm pretty proud of myself.

$14.99 - Donkey Konga Jungle Beat w/ Bongos
FREE - Nintendo Bongos
$16.21 (w/ tax)

Immediately traded "DK Jungle Beat" back in ($3.00) got the extra 10% ($.30). I already have it.

$12.99 - Donkey Konga 2 (Used)
-$2.60 - 20% off Used Game coupon (same flier)
-$3.30 - Trade-in credit (from DKJB)
-$0.55 - Leftovers from Gamer's Edge card (forgot I had that on there)
$7.21 (w/ tax)

So I got 2 pairs of bongos and Donkey Konga 2 for $24.

Not bad.

I'd have to go after the exact same deal, Goldberg, as I have 2 sets of bongos and JB already. How's DK2?

Haven't played it yet, but DK1 was good. We got home and threw it in the box of stuff to be wrapped and thrown under the tree.

Here's a song list for DK2:
1. All Star - Smash Mouth
2. Boombastic - Shaggy
3. Born Too Slow - The Crystal Method
4. Come Clean - Hilary Duff
5. Contact - Roger Sanchez
6. Donkey Konga 2 Theme
7. Drive - Incubus
8. Full Moon - Brandy
9. Habanera - Georges Bizet (from Carmen)
10. Headstrong - Trapt
11. High Roller - The Crystal Method
12. Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!) - Blu Cantrell
13. I Don't Want To Know - The Donnas
14. It's Been A While - Staind
15. La Bamba - Los Lobos
16. Losing My Religion - R.E.M.
17. Minute Waltz - Frédéric Chopin
18. No More Drama - Mary J. Blige
19. Pieces - Hoobastank
20. Predictable - Good Charlotte
21. Road Trip - Steriogram
22. Rock The Boat - Aaliyah
23. Send The Pain Below - Chevelle
24. Shiny Happy People - R.E.M.
25. Sidewalks - Story of the Year
26. The Anthem - Good Charlotte
27. Trepak - Pyotr Tschaikovsky (from The Nutcracker Suite)
28. Trouble - Pink
29. U Don't Have To Call - Usher
30. Unpretty - TLC
31. (I) Wish You Were Here - Incubus
32. Why Don't We Fall In Love - Amerie
33. Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye (Only playable as the last song on Challenge Mode sets until you complete a Full Set)

There is another bongo controlled game coming out soon called DK Bongo Blast. Some places say that it has been rolled over as a Wii title, but since you can use the bongos with the GC ports on the Wii, you can use them there.

What's the best of the three bongo games?

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Donkey Konga 1
Donkey Konga 2

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (7.5/10) - Pretty fun... a little repetitive and chaotic at times, but challenging and fun. My kids (8 and 6) love to play it.

Donkey Konga 1 (8/10) & 2 (?) - If you don't have any rhythm, don't even try it. . Just kidding. Its fun when there's more than one player so that the competitive edge is added.

Played Donkey Konga 2 tonight with three other friends and gotta say it was absolute fun. My hands started to hurt a bit towards the end of the night. But for $35, I got Donkey Konga 2 and 4 sets of bongos. You can't beat that.

They continued for this week (no flyer needed) and my local EB Games had these things stacked to the ceiling (almost). We picked up a set for my cousin and her family and we are considering grabbing a few more for gifts through out the year.

The only thing that makes me laugh is that DKJB is a one player game, but you get a pair bongos in the deal.

ehhh they're banking on you getting the other two games. Still a sweet deal.

By the way I have an extra copy of jungle beat sealed if anyone is interested.

Wow they must really be desparate to get rid of these. Doesn't make sense since they are comaptible with the Wii.

Oh well I'm not gonna complain. The Konga games are great especially if you have a bunch of others around to play with.

Local EB Games said I had to have a coupon for the deal. It's available online but they charge an extra $10 s/h over normal which is b.s.

I just picked up Donkey Konga 2 w/ bongos at KMart for $5. I guess they are also selling Jungle Beat w/ bongos for $5, but they didn't have any left.

Go online, print out the weekly ad and bring to gamestop. That serves as the coupon.

Yes, new. I read about it on some board, but my understanding is it is nation wide.
