Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork & Mindy Season 2 -- April 17, 2007?

They say to treat it as a rumor for now, but it comes from a reliable source.
Never thought we would see this so soon. Now hopefully they will finish Taxi, Cheers, & Frasier.

At least it was a shorter wait for these second seasons than it has been for Twin Peaks season two.

why did Happy Days S1 sell so poorly? were there problems with quality or anything? that was always a series on my to buy list, I never even realized that they stopped after releasing the first season.

I really gave up hope that they would release further seasons of L&S or Mork & Mindy.
I still have an entire box of L&S tapes that I recorded off of TV Land.

I just hope they continue past season 2 and that the wait won't be long between seasons.

I don't think it did poorly compared to other classic TV shows, but for the cost of getting the music rights cleared, they didn't sell enough sets to cover that. Or so that's how I understood it.

Honestly, I can't recall music being that integral to this series. Aside from a few songs on the jukebox in Al's, and a couple songs here and there on the radio, most of it could be replaced and I'd never notice.

Great news! I was afraid I wouldn't see anymore of these.

Music was very important in this series, as it had that 50's soundtrack playing in most every scene intro/outro. Many of the owners of these songs get a call and figure it's a chance at a bit of a payday and hold out for too much money.

I hear they did some substitutions and such. (The later in the series "Happy Days" theme for Rock Around The Clock, others.) Shouldn't matter much, but any songs that Richie's band plays would have to remain the same. (For lip sync.)

I can't wait. One of my favorite shows growing up! Would love ta own the enitire run. (Well...up until it "jumped the shark.")

You mean up until Fonz jumped the shark! Gotta give credit where credit is due...this is no generic "jump the shark" moment we are talking about...it's THE jump the shark moment!!!

Personally I'll only rent when there are no extras. Paramount is the worst for new interviews and such. I don't have much reason to buy with paramount most of the time. Fox layered some of their series with lots of extras. So I have bought lots more of those. Paramount is often too cheap on extras except on the Star Trek Franchise which may impede sales for people like me.

I am part of the problem but i've made up my mind that i'll only buy the show when 4 season are released and they're serious about getting the show out their...

Part of the problem in the sense that if everyone thinks like i do then no wonder the dvd sold bad for season 1...
