My Name is Earl - "Born a Gamblin Man" - 11/30/2006

No thread for this episode yet? I'm surprised.

The Chicken Crap game was funny. Loved Earl getting comped with free potato chips.

Cool how I was expecting Earl to lose all the money, including Catalina's, only to win big and find out that Catalina is being deported.

I liked how they set up Joy being pregnant since JP is in real life.

I think people gave up on Earl, I still enjoy it, but the recurring characters are starting to annoy me a bit. They should have only one per show.

In the beginning I thought they were going to do a flashback episode, but it turned out to be a enjoyable one.

The Stones song at the end was really well placed... (hopefully they keep it on the DVD)

Give up on Earl? How could someone? Maybe I'm odd, but I still look forward to this show every single week.

This is the 1st ep I watched all the way through and I liked it. There were some funny lines and Presley is always good to look at.

I loved it when she laughed at her Deaf lawyer's voice.

I was wondering about the thread too, I thought this was a step up from previous episodes, with a lot of LOL moments.

The deaf lawyer flirting

And what's with the lack of Catalina-stripper gif? You guys are slacking off?

Jamie Pressly and Marlee Matlin's scenes together are hilarious.

Liked Earl beting what number Crabman was thinking of.

I really liked this episode. Thought it was one of the best Earls yet. And it also set up next week's double feature very nicely. Randy's Salma Hayek pinata was great!

The Hayek bit works nicely on two levels:

1) The obvious Ugly Betty reference
2) The Dogma level, where Hayek and Lee played rival muses (or more accurately muse and former-muse demon)

This was one of the better "Earl's" this season.

"That's like telling Def Leopard to dial down the awesomeness. Pour a little sugar on that."

Loved the Selma Hayek pinata and loved the Ricola line.
Loved Jamie Presley scenes in the support group and Earl teaching Dwayne Wayne how to be a Macho gay man.

Oops, I'll be sure to keep the threads coming for new Earl episodes.. the last couple of weeks we've been VERY distracted by Wii. We were reminded of it because of the preview for what looks like a great episode during the Cowboys game last night. I'm also trying to figure out what I need to do to get broadcast HD without getting a cable subscription.. I want Earl in HD now!

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/welcome.aspx will tell you what stations are available in your area, as well as what direction to point an antenna to, provided your new HDTV has an ATSC tuner built-in.
