Weird CD issue -- any suggestions?

I just picked up P.O.D.'s Warriors EP Vol 2 (from Amazon) and it's acting really weird. Although it will play fine in my car cd player, when I put it in my computer to rip it to itunes, it will not show up at all. Nothing shows up in the drive -- it's like my computer doesn't even recognize that there's a cd in the drive. I've never had this issue with any other cds. Unfortunately between my car and computer, I don't really have anything else to test it on at the moment.

any suggestions? I know with some of my older xbox games the demo discs would come with extra film across the surface that had to be boiled off but I've never seen that with a cd (since it does work elsewhere).

thanks.

Sounds like it's copy protected and won't play in your computer because of that....they don't want you to rip it.

WTF. I've never bought a cd like that before. Even their Testify: LE 2 disc (I bought at the same time) worked perfectly.

I suppose that means if I want it on my ipod I have to pay a second time from itunes?

No, it means you have to do a little homework. Check the back of the CD. It usually states what kind of copy protection is used. The most common is one by MediaMaxx. After you've confirmed the type of copy protection, do some simple Google searches for ways to rip the CD.

I'd be more explicit in my instructions, but I'm not sure if the Mods allow it. However, I'm sure you can find it.
